8 Ways to Use Fall Color Trends in Salon and Spa Marketing

There are two great reasons that you should focus marketing campaigns on seasonal color trends like the fall color trends as determined by Pantone or as determined by fashion designers, fashion magazines and other color experts.

One, color in general and seasonal color trends like the fall color trends for fall are extremely engaging topics.

Think about it:  Probably as far back as you can remember, you have known what your favorite colors are and what colors you for whatever reason “don’t like.”  It’s one of the first ways that you identified yourself to family members and friends, “My favorite color is…”  And because of this, it’s one of the first things that differentiated you from others.

Put a color palette together and show it to 3 people, you’ll get 3 very different reactions.  Why?  Because color preferences are subjective. As human beings, we gravitate toward and away from different hues, tones, shades and other aspects of certain colors.  We use our preferences to justify our choices of color use in everything from branding our businesses or designing our logos to painting our walls, choosing decorative accessories and even when choosing the clothing and makeup with which we want to adorn ourselves.

The second reason that you should use fall color trends, spring color trends, summer color trends and winter color trends not just in 2012 but every year is related to the first: These terms will get you found online.

If you need more website or blog traffic, titles and keywords containing phrases like, “2012 fall color trends” will lead to more web traffic.  Use popular keyword search phrases like these, and use them in ways that make sense for your business (i.e., you are using them to draw attention to a legitimate aspect of your business, such as within makeup or hair color articles).  When you do so, you create the perfect combination to (1) attract more web site traffic, social media traffic or blog traffic, and (2) get the attention of more members of your target audience online.
